Q: What does the O in Ohio stand for?

A: It stands for Ohio. What are you, an idiot?

If you prefer, though, you can pretend it stands for "OMG, R U all morons"? Outside of my beloved Cleveland, it seems Ohio gov't officials desperately want to create the next Florida, in terms of not only election fraud, but also just general statewide idiocy.

BMV Refuses Woman's License Plates As 'Obscene'

A Central Ohio woman said she has had the same license plate on her car for more than a decade, but now the state is calling her personalized place obscene.

Pat Niple turned 74 years old on Tuesday. She normally ordered her license plates and renewal stickers by mail, NBC 4's Barbra Flannigan reported.

This year, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles returned her check, accompanied by a letter.

"The letter stated that I could no longer have my license plate, which was NWTF," she said.

Niple's personalized plates are NWTF, an abbreviation of Northwood Tree Farm -- a business she owned with her late husband. It also means something else, officials said.

"Apparently, the young people use it on the computer," she said.

The NBC affiliate fails to note the irony of this woman's having made it through 74 years of being named "Pat Niple" without any complaint from local officials. Fuck her license plate -- her drivers license is worse than a Judy Blume novel.

To their credit, NBC-4 does not fail to provide a slideshow of the license plate in question, offering no less than four scintillating angles. Kudos to the affiliate for their bravery; presumably the FCC will begin issuing multi-million dollar fines next week.

please comment. it makes me look popular.
